Description - Diet of Ski Jumpers
During the competition a ski jumpers have a relatively low energy demand. A ski jumpers must maintain a low body weight according to their height so they use a diet with a reduced energy value. They need to select appropriate products, so that the diet will supply the most important nutrients and will be low- calorie. Those products must allow the body and muscle regeneration and prevent the change of a body weight.
A ski jumpers diet eliminate fat, (they consume only a very small amount of vegetable fat). They eat lean meats like: beef, veal, poultry and pork loin. Also the other products like: milk, dairy products and eggs. They need to limit the intake of carbohydrates and from the cereal products they choose only untreated cereals like: wholemeal bread, brown rice and wholemeal pasta.
